Consulting

Our consulting services span diverse areas of petroleum reservoir engineering to gas production optimization to derivative pricing for financial markets. We specialize in understanding complex problems and deliver solutions as per your requirements and needs. Here are certain areas of interests

1. Reservoir Simulation Studies

Participate in integrated, full-scale and/or sector, multidisciplinary, heterogeneous, multiple-well black-oil/compositional reservoir simulation study (GEM, Eclipse, VIP, Arion/Pegasus, UTCHEM, UTCOMP , GCOMP, eRes ) for field development plans (EOR/IOR, exploitation strategy, infill drilling, redevelopment/recompletion activities) for
- gas condensate reservoirs
- carbonates and clastic reservoirs
- fractured reservoirs (dual porosity and permeability)
- water and gas injection/cycling studies

Conduct high resolution near-wellbore single well and/or sector study (unstrucutured grids) for detailed investigation of phase blockage, damage characterization, production optimization and troubleshooting drilling related problems.

2. Traditional Reservoir Engineering

Perform traditional reservoir engineering evaluations such as decline curve analysis, log and volumetric analysis, well test analysis, material balance calculations, PVT analysis, capillary pressure analysis, infill drilling analysis, nodal analyses, gas deliverability calculations, reserves estimation and other related reservoir engineering work using commercial tools (Fekete™, Saphire, PanSystem, MBAL) for
(a) fluids evaluation
(b) production data analysis, correlated with core data and logs
(c) hydrocarbons and water contacts
(d) static and transient pressure tests analysis
(e) performance of the wells
(f) material balance calculation

3. Risk Management and Stochastic Modeling

SiteLark helps clients understand potential risks originating from various facets of the business. Through its unique tools and consulting skills it then provides the appropriate modeling and computational framework to quantify such risks. These could include typical economic analysis (NPV), Monte Carlo simulation, scenario analysis to Real Options evaluation.

Traditional methods of economic evaluation cannot capture the flexibilities of decision making which, in general, is practiced via active management principles. Techniques such as Real Options bridge this gap and provide a numerical optimization backdrop to compute risk premiums and leverage for contract negotiations.

4. R&D

Because of day-to-day business demands, pressures to meet bottom-lines and inability to maintain dedicated staff to perform non-traditional/core activities, it is hard to keep up with the new technological advances. The research component involved to both understand and apply these techniques are often branded as avoidable costs and are rendered to be the esoteric domain of “bigger” players. Our company exists to categorically bridge this gap and transform intelligent solutions into an affordablel commodity.

Enable commercial research. If you have an idea and would like to delvelop it but unfortunately, do not have the manpower to leverage support. We are your instant choice. Within our eagerness, level of understanding and implementation skills, you will find a complementary partner. We can mobilize an urgent literature search for relevant material, formulate the model, design the algorithm and generate the computer program for the process. We can then, with your consent and desire, produce sensitivity studies for various process variables to usher in better understanding of the phenomenon.

Do you fall in this category?
Do you have an idea but don’t have the time to devote in the necessary effort to bring this to fruition?
Are you in urgent need to search the literature to identify, formulate and implement the right computational solution for your problem?
Are you an experimentalist or a field personnel who desires to collaborate with computational partner to research/understand the problem?

If the answer is yes to any of these questions, your wait is over. Contact SiteLark personnel immediately for your R&D needs.

5. Training

SiteLark personnel have both the educational background and work experience to offer training in the following general area:

(a) Classical reservoir engineering, fluid flow through porous media, displacement processes, recovery factor calculations and economics
(b) Reservoir simulation studies, different simulator platforms, recovery processes, data preparation, history matching, surface modeling and forecasting
(c) Advanced computer languages (C++, VB) with particular emphasis on engineering software development. Concepts of object-oriented design/analysis, Design patterns and memory management.
Provide consulting and distance-learning. Myriad topics in flow and transport in porous media, advanced discretization schemes (higher-order finite difference, finite-element, least-squares finite element to approximate nonlinear equations, unstructured grids, reservoir simulation techniques, flow in fractured reservoirs (dual-porosity, dual-permeability flow) can be covered. Our accomplishments in these areas have been recognized by the peers and experts.
