Project Experience


· Two Giant Gas Fields, North Africa

Integrated studies including petrophysical, geophysical, geological and engineering analysis to perform reservoir simulation of two giant gas fields in fractured carbonate reservoirs with weak to moderate aquifer support.  Development planning report suggested production profiles and recommended plans of action for new drilling, workover operations and compression schedule.

· Midale and Sherwood Formations, North Dakota

Performed simulations on several fields including Mouse River Park, Little Deep Creek , North Westhope Unit etc to explore the feasibility of waterflood.  Data from several sources was integrated to build static and dynamic models.  Several scenarios to institute waterflood were investigated and optimal one recommended.


· Bell Creek Field

Applied production diagnostics and Capacitance Resistance Model to examine injector-producer connections in this multi unit, several hundred wells field.  Recommended injection re-distribution for better efficiency.

· Puesto Molina, Argentina

Many years of poor reservoir management had led to high GOR in most wells in this reservoir with thin oil rim and a large gas cap.  Investigate viability of EOR methods such as ASP, hot water flood and polymer augmented waterflood in this reservoir.  Project economics indicated systematic blowdown of the gas cap to be used in a nearby CO2 injection project.


· Cedar Creek Anticline

Waterflood analysis for several fields including South and North Pine. Performed both analytic fractional flow analysis and sector simulations to ascertain potential for future development.

· Dovletabat, Turkmenistan

Full field modeling of a large gas field with more than 400 wells and 25 years of history using a commercial compositional simulator, GEM


· Rhourde Nouss, Algeria

Convert full-field GEM simulation models to VIP models.  History match and forecast

· Fahud, Oman

Three phase, dual porosity Black Oil model of this fractured carbonate field with complex geology.  Developed plan to investigate the feasibility of UBD for fracture characterization and drill past fracture corridor to tap bypassed oil.

· Bu Hasa, Abu Dhabi

Three phase, compositional model for this tight carbonate field.  Investigate feasibility of drilling the gas injectors underbalanced to increase injectivity, efficiency (less number of injectors) and reduce workover delays.

· Nimr A, Oman

Three-phase Black Oil Model of this Darcy reservoir with active bottom water drive and high viscosity ratio.  Investigate the effect of fracture shutoff on the onset of watercut.

· Tempa Rossa, Italy

Compositional, naturally-fractured model of this thick, tight limestone formation to investigate its potential for Mobil to actively participate in field development.

· Camisea Field, Peru

Compositional, naturally-fractured model for this gas-condensate reservoir to analyze its deliverability potential and feasibility of meeting customer demands.

· Anschutz Ranch, Wyoming

Three-phase compositional model of this mature domestic oil field to assess the viability of infill and/or multi-lateral drilling.

· Rojo Caballos, West Texas

Perform both traditional reservoir engineering and sector simulation model study to prescribe re-completion/re-perforation strategies to improve ultimate recovery from the field.
